Powerful Diet and Symptom Tracker

This app is much more in depth than it looks. It gives you only as much as you put into it though, meaning you have to spend some time adding your foods, ingredients, symptoms, notes, times, medications, and whatever else consistently to get any sort of accurate results. As for the food database, its only as good as the users that contribute. It doesnt track calories or specific ingredients unless you take the time to input that information yourself. Really this is just for you to understand what you are putting in your body to help you get an idea of your habits. Otherwise it is great for tracking headaches, intestinal issues, or customized health problems. Absolutely recommend this app for anyone trying to track their symptoms.

Requested review

This is my first week using the app. My doctor wants a detailed journal from me. I like the app but it would be great if the food part incorporated a myfitnesspal type of application. Then calories, nutrients and portions would be hugely beneficial for me and my doctor.

Using for Low FODMAP

Im doing a low FODMAP elimination diet & purchased this app to track food & symptoms. I find it very easy to use and it has the functionality I need, including being able to generate a PDF log for my dietitian. The database can be annoying in that users choose to share really specific entries (i.e. 13 raspberries) instead of keeping those private; if I were able to make a change Id have the generic entry (raspberries) default to the top choice when you search so you dont have to scroll through all the custom choices to find it.

Great app - could use...

This is a very useful app. I left one star off because I think it needs a few tweaks. I feel that the ability to graph and chart other things, such as the number of bowel movements in a day, water drunk in a day, and so forth, would be very helpful.

Disappointed

Ive been looking for a good app to start recording my daily food intake. Sadly this app is so cumbersome to input food. Not to mention the lack of room for details is pitiful. Its is not worth purchasing.

Fantastic app!

Does exactly what its supposed to do.

Incredibly useful!

I am so glad I downloaded this app. I am able to keep track of foods, symptoms, medicines, moods, and more. Not only that, but I can email myself reports to print and take along to the doctor with me. It is important to remember that correlation is not causation; that said, the data presented by this app is definitely helping me narrow down the suspects. I have no problems recommending this app to anyone trying to figure out their food issues.

Ginger ale is a kind of beer?

Promising but need breadcrumbs to help navigation and some strange priorities when it comes to including / classifying foods.

Great app!

Ive been having some major stomach problems and this app has been amazing at helping me keep track of all my daily activities: eating, exercise, etc., which I can use to show my doctor. It has been a great help!

Not Fan!

This app has potential but it is not intuitive. I would not recommend this app to someone who has a difficult time getting around an app.

Great

Love this app, great for figuring out GI problems

Person

Just what I needed:)

Really easy to use

I have kept food diaries off and on for years using Notepad; Excel; OneNote; and pen and paper. None were easy to use and they definitely didnt accommodate analysis. Mainly because every day was another opportunity to describe a symptom or food in a new way. This app provides consistency in reporting and does the analysis for me. Could the list of foods and other choices be cleaner? Maybe. But you have to tie down the freedom to add those items which is a different PITA. This app has an often used list which works great.

Good app

Just started to use this app. Took me a day or so to figure it out and now Im just waiting to build up enough information to see if it could help pin point as to why I have unexplained stomach pain.

Saves a lot of time over the long run

My doctor recommended this to help me track food and symptoms while doing an elimination-challenge diet. Its quicker and easier than tracking on paper. The "public database" has some quirky and redundant entries, but still the app is very handy after a short while.

Practical

I have only been using this for a few days, but find it very easy to input my foods, symptoms, Meds, supplements, etc. I have high hopes for the analyses once I have more days in the database. I do wish it was easier to put in quantities....select the food, then the quantity. I suppose one app cant do everything, but as long as Im recording everything I eat, it would be awesome to know calories, protein, carbs and fat in my diet.

Good, but could be better

It is a great app. But the down part to it is that it doesnt give you the food menu like other apps do. But I would recommend it. I am currently using it to track my symptoms based on my food intake. Recommend it!

Great

Does just what I need it to. Thank you!

Good

Easy to use, intuitive data entry.

Great for nursing mon

Im using the app to monitor my dietary effect on my nursing infant. I log my diet and his symptoms. It works really well.
